At the end of October, SRIBA members gathered to choose the lakes and dates for our 2014 season.
We wrote down our personal choices for lakes and then set about matching the lakes with dates that suited each lake best. We did things a bit different this year to try to schedule tournaments at the optimal time for each individual lake, hoping for the best possible outcome with regard to catching quality bass.
When everything was said and done, we came up with what looks like a great schedule for 2014.
We took off some old favorites and shuffled some things around a bit, throwing in a bit of variety to keep us on our toes 🙂
We added a couple of night tournaments on lakes that we have previously fished at night, but not for quite a few years now. So it will be good to get back to them again. We also added a couple of lakes back onto the daytime schedule that we haven’t visited in quite a few years.
So all in all the 2014 schedule will be a nice change of scenery.
On another positive note, a former SRIBA member, Paul Wharbin, will be returning to the club after a 2 year hiatus. We’re glad to have Paul back onboard as a SRIBA member 🙂
Sadly, though, we will be losing another SRIBA member due to an overloaded work schedule. Mike Williams, who has been a SRIBA member intermittently during the last several years will be leaving the club due to work obligations. Mike will be missed 🙁
So 2014 will be a fresh new season for the club, with some great lakes on the schedule, and a great roster of members to compete together and have a great time.
Until next time, fish on!
