Club Classic Results from Locustville Pond

The Locustville Pond bass were definitely post-spawn, as SRIBA anglers chased them for 8 hours during the Club Classic for the top finishers from the 2007 Season.

Weather during the event was unpredictable, with heavy showers, thunder & lightning, and stiff breezes during the tourney. All of this added up to another interesting SRIBA Club Classic.

Average size of the bass landed was less than great for the entire club, but 4 of the 5 SRIBA anglers managed to bag a limit of 5 bass over the course of the day, and the final weights were pretty close, from top to bottom.

When everything was said and done, Curt Snow had managed to out-distance Isaac Claros by about 3/4 of a pound for the win. Curt had 5 bass that tipped the scales at 9.51 lbs. and included the tourney lunker of 2.67 lbs. Curt caught all of his fish, including the lunker, on a 1/2 oz. Hawgstomper spinnerbait. Isaac weighed-in a 5-fish creel that totaled 8.87 lbs. Isaac’s big fish weighed in at 2.48 lbs. Isaac said he caught his fish on a variety of baits over the course of the day.

Landing in third place was Rich Williams, with 5 fish for a total weight of 8.72 lbs. Rich also had a decent fish that weighed in at 2.22 lbs.

4th Place was held by Dave Royer, with 5 fish for 7.32 lbs. Dave’s big fish weighed in at 2.15 lbs.

Unfortunately, Andrew Gardiner had a tough day and was unable to land any keepers, although he said that he landed a ton of fish just under the 12-inch minimum length.

So, to wrap things up, here are the final stats for Locustville Pond.
